Strikingly comfortable, good fit and style when you first put them on. You ALMOST want to consider paying upwards of $48 for them. DON’T! Just because no one should be charging that much money for JEANS!! Especially “worn out looking jeans”

I have two pair of these now and love them dearly. I am an older woman and enjoy some stretchiness in the waist area of jeans. When I buy no zipper type stretchy pants they make me feel like an old person. These have a zipper and stretchy waist that I feel look much younger.

Really really like these jeans. Perfect fit, true to size, rise is not too high, not too low, but just right. No muffin top! They are so comfortable, a little stretchy. The only problem for me is they have a little distressing which I didn’t want, (pretty small amount but in a couple of noticeable spots) but Democracy does not sell this type of jeans without distressing and I wish they did. Other than that they are great jeans and I wear them every day.

The distressing was excessive. Actual hole through pocket and pants underneath, another hole on front just off the zipper…terrible spots for distressing…unless showing your underwear is your thing.

I love these jeans. True to fit and so comfortable! Worth every penny!

    These pants are odd.

First, the mesh panels that are supposed to hold in your belly don’t seem to be doing anything at all. They are just a little stretchy, nothing more. They are also not really attached to anything, other than being stitched to the waistline-so imagine a screen door with the screens just hanging and flapping in the breeze. Make sense?

Second, the front pockets are ridiculous. You can barely get your fingers in them, no matter how small an adult hand you might have. They’re lined so I guess you could tuck some change or a tissue into them but not much else.

Third, there is absolutely NOTHING in the back part of the jeans that would give your butt any kind of lift. Maybe the heart shaped yoke gives the appearance of lift but there is no actual material there that will achieve real uplift. I didn’t care; that’s not why I bought them. My butt is fine and at my age, I am not worried about how it might appear to the world.

The wide elastic in the waist is a treat. It’s hidden and there is nothing on the outside of these jeans to give the impression that it is there. It’s comfortable, makes the waist line feel secure and prevents ‘Lady Plumber’s Crack’ no matter how much you lean, sit, twist and bend. It’s not at all constrictive, either.

These are not quite high waist but they are a bit higher than mid-rise.

These jeans are very, very soft with the kind of cottony softness that takes years to create in rigid denim. I have worn them for 12 and 18 hours at a stretch and have gotten no bagging or stretching in the knees, butt, waist or thighs. Of note, I did not size down at all and right out of the package, these fit like they were made for me.

I have bought similar jeans from Talbot’s for $95. The Democracy jeans fit better, feel better and other than the 2 areas with the fake distressed stitching and the distressed wash, these are 100 times nicer and about half the price. They are as comfortable as pajamas but they look like and fit like a well loved pair of old jeans. I don’t really NEED anymore jeans, but I think I just *might* need another pair or 2 of these. : )

Once you wear these jeans you’ll never wear another brand. These are the absolute best!

  8. PenPen

I like this brand of jean and have a pair skinny leg jeans I bought circa 2017. These are straight leg and I expected the legs to fit more like the model, but on me they look more like boyfriend jeans. I still like them and they are super comfy as AB Solution jeans are, but these look very casual because of the relaxed leg fit. Of course because they didn’t fit as expected I ordered two more pairs in skinny jeans, so that’s a positive statement for the brand.

Denim shopping used to be easy…then I slipped into my 40s and the slow slide into menopause (if you know, you know).
I took a chance on a pair of Democracy jeans using Prime Wardrobe and am so glad I did.
I own four pair now, each a different style and wash. Amazon sells them considerable less than the brand website or department stores.
The fit is consistent across the styles I own. They are comfortable and stretchy but do not stretch out, fall down or sag.
I will admit, I don’t find them to have compression in the stomach but I personally don’t care. My husband has complimented my butt every time I wear a pair of Democracy jeans. They sure know how to design.
My only concern is that the material is lighter and I worry about chub rubbing through the thighs. I’ve reinforced each pair on the inside with good quality Iron Patches (sold here on Amazon).

The jeans look and fit great but beware that the button closure will ruin any top you wear that’s worn outside. The button has a rough surface and has ruined several T shirts and a cashmere sweater by rubbing holes into them. It took me a bit of time to figure out what was going on but the holes in my tops are all in the exact same place and same size so it’s not an insect problem. In researching this online I find other women have had the same problem. It’s too bad as otherwise these would be awesome jeans and I would be giving them 5 stars but they’ve cost me way more than the purchase price considering the clothes they have ruined
