I bought these boots for my husband. He’s very pleased with the fit. They are waterproof and have memory foam fitted. One word of warning, factor in international tax on this item as Amazon don’t mention that you will be asked to pay this after delivery, which makes the item more expensive, but if they are like the last pair he had they will last some time.

My husband has order 5 pairs of these ankle boots loves them. He does lawn/tractor work and they hold up better than other boots. Also his knees/legs have stopped hurting. The only complain would be that the price changes. I have paid from $73.46 to $37.72.

Excellent service and quality, just too big, normally size 11, too big, returned for size 10. Perfect. Sketches have a size chart that you can print off and size your feet. May help, or buy from a company that offers free returns just in case.

The shoe is well made and comfortable. So why only 3 stars? They squeak with every step you take. I mean loud annoying squeaking from both shoes. I bought them to wear when mowing the lawn so I’m not going to send them back. I doubt I’ll get any snide comments from the lawn. But if your planning to wear these boots to the office or just out for a causal evening, factor in the potential for an annoying squeak. On the other hand, it’s possible that the problem is limited to only the pair that I bought. If so, you’ve got yourself a great pair of shoes.

Update: I located the source of the squeak and was able to fix it so it’s no longer a problem. The tongue of the boot is not made of leather. The non-leather tongue was rubbing against the back side of the eyelet area which is also not made of leather. That caused the squeak. So, I smeared a very thin film of Vaseline on the tongue and the adjoining back side of the eyelet area and presto-chango. No more squeak.

My husband wore boots everyday to work but had to switch to something with more support after recent back surgery. These shoes are perfect. They don’t look like dress shoes, which was important to him and the heel still allows him to wear his slightly longer pants that he wore with his pull on Rocky’s. The laces and shoes are holding up nicely and he says they are comfortable for all day wear. My husband has a wide foot, ordered 13W and they fit perfect so I would say they are true to size.

Update: My husband wore these about 3 days a week to his office job for a little more than a year and they ripped on the top (seam near laces). They are comfortable shoes but not as durable as other shoes he has for 2+ year.

This boot really hits a sweet spot between cost and performance. I was looking for a casual waterproof boot that did not look like it was part sneaker or part snow boot to handle messy weather. For me, this boot is a part time boot to wear in sloppy weather when wearing more expensive shoes would be a mistake.

Think of what you get for under $60. A real oiled leather and waterproof outer along with inner memory foam comfort in a light weight comfort boot.

The boot is ruggedly attractive and oiled leather wears like iron while needing just an oiled leather shoe sponge to renew every so often. That’s it, other than simply enjoying a boot with features usually costing much more.

Sizing is true as always with Skechers, all be it except that a relaxed fit signals a tad more roominess. So the length is good and if your feet do not like tightness anywhere these will keep you happy.

I am not having any squeak issue and did not need to break these in. They are good out of the box meaning they will get even more comfortable over time.

It’s nice when something exceeds expectations based on cost, quality, looks, maintenance and performance. These are a winner!

I have several Skechers, all sorts , and never has one failed in any way. I expect these to last as well.

I’ve been wearing these new boots for about 1 week now and I have to say, they are very comfortable. I bought my regular size 10.5 and they fit well, although a little wide, but that’s fine. The inner foam sole is very comfortable, plus they look really good too. I work in an office but frequently have to go out to agricultural fields and these boots are very adequate in both atmospheres. Very happy with my purchase. Would buy them again

I purchased for work. My environment is not very demanding or harsh. The rubber sole began to separate from the leather upper a few weeks ago. I really hoped to get more use from them. I purchased April of 2018. I regularly apply a good brand of shoe balm to help preserve the leather. Fit was good and comfortable to wear. I have tried to use gorilla glue on the separation in hopes of getting more use. I am disappointed to say the least.

Good sketchers quality as usual. These required a little bit of breaking in, (like half a day), but by the second day were incredibly comfortable. More so than others sketchers I’ve had. My last pair were a bottom of the line set of work shoes which were fine except the outer surface of the leather had a vinyl coating which tore within a few months and looked like hell. No more of those for me.
I paid a little more for these, and got the quality I wanted. Nice good quality leather, look very good, and a better shoe all-around. If the water proof feature or wearability is an issue I’ll edit this review. In all fairness I do have to say sketchers has been the best brand for me ever, but I won’t be buying the very cheapest shoes in their line anymore. BUT the cheap pair are still comfortable and despite the surface tear are quite usable for things like painting etc.

Three months later after wearing them every day: These are without question the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned!
Still look great (and I’m rough on shoes) and still waterproof. Love em!

I like the boot. At first the top of the boot bothered my ankles a bit. I think I simply tied them too tight. These did not fit snug on my feet. Not like say a pair of tennis shoes, or insulated boots, but they are comfortable. So the first day I got them I wasn’t sure if I like them. But after wearing them around the house I realized they were comfortable. Know that sound like I had to get used to them but it was more like I had to get used to the style. They are really light weight. The leather is soft enough that they don’t need to be broken in. There is no “crease” that presses into my toes like a lot of stiff leather shoes. With some shoes I wear a wide width. With Sketchers I order medium and there seems to be enough room. The actual size seems to be good. I have worn these all day and have not felt the need like I had to get them off. They also seem to hold up well against scuffs like when you bump your shoe against something.Short story….I would buy them again. And I am picky about my shoes. They don’t have to be expensive, which these arn’t.
